Agricultural Sciences Academy
Houston Community College (HCC) and Sam Houston State University (SHSU) are proud to announce the launch of the Agricultural Sciences Academy, made possible through funding from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) Agency.
The Academy offers students the opportunity to start at HCC and then transition full time to SHSU to complete one of the following Bachelor of Science degree tracks in the School of Agricultural Sciences.
- Agricultural Business Track
- Agricultural Engineering Technology Track
- Animal Science PreVet Medicine Track
- Animal Science Track Interdisciplinary Agriculture Agricultural Education Tracks
- Plant and Soil Science Track
Key Points
- Students will complete their first two years at HCC’s Katy campus and seamlessly transition into Sam Houston State University in Huntsville.
- Students will complete a Bachelor's degree at SHSU in one of the areas listed above.
Admissions to the Academy
New students must apply at HCC and SHSU to enroll in the academy.
