Welcome to the Houston Community College's 2023 State of the College where we will explore "Embracing Houston's Future through Visionary Workforce Development." Our event theme reflects our unwavering dedication and commitment to our students, community, and the future of Houston. We take pride in our legacy of educating and training Houstonians to meet the demands of the workforce in our region.
Join us on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the West Houston Institute, located at 2811 Hayes Rd, Houston, TX 77082. The event will begin with an 8:30 a.m. check-in and will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. with a seated breakfast.
The State of the College program will feature remarks by the HCC Board Chair and Chancellor, as well as a panel discussion facilitated by the Chancellor with workforce leaders from companies like Amazon and Harris Health System. This discussion will explore the challenges and opportunities facing Houston's workforce and how HCC is preparing for the future.
