Year 1 (2021-2022): Initiation and Setup

  • Topic Selection: Established a process for selecting the QEP topic. Personalized learning was selected.
  • QEP Committees Formed: Formed the QEP Committees.
  • Needs Assessment: Conducted an assessment to identify the need for Personalized Learning Pathways.

 

Year 2 (2022-2023): Research and Early Implementation

  • Research on Best Practices: Investigated existing models and best practices for Personalized Learning Pathways.
  • Goal Setting: Developed specific goals and objectives based on research insights.
  • QEP Document Drafting: Began the creation of a comprehensive QEP document.
  • Initial Pilot: Planned a pilot project in EDUC courses to test preliminary concepts.

 

Year 3 (2023-2024): Engagement and Evaluation

  • Pilot Expansion: Implemented the MyHCC Pathway Platform in EDUC 1300 to test its effectiveness.
  • Professional Development: Continued professional development for faculty and staff to align with QEP goals, focusing on using the MyHCC Pathway Platform.
  • Early Feedback and Assessments: Conducted initial assessments of the pilot to collect feedback from students and faculty.
  • Training and Workshops: Develop ongoing training to facilitate the adoption of QEP strategies.
  • Planning for Expansion: Begin detailed planning for further pilot expansions and adjustments based on feedback.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Analyze baseline data for incoming students through the College Student Inventory (CSI).
  • Lunch and Learn Sessions: Hosted informational “Lunch and Learn” sessions to engage the community and gather feedback around the QEP.

 

Year 4 (2024-2025): Full Implementation and Evaluation

  • Continuous Assessment: Regularly assess student success outcomes and adjust strategies based on data from the MyHCC Pathway and other sources.
  • Integration of Services: Enhance the integration of career services and academic advising into the QEP.

 

Year 5 (2025-2026): Institutionalization and Future Planning

  • Institutionalization of Practices: Standardize successful QEP practices across all departments.
  • Strategic Planning: Evaluate outcomes and develop plans for the next QEP cycle.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and refine implemented strategies to ensure effectiveness.
  • Sustainability Efforts: Secure resources to sustain improvements and expanded successful initiatives.
  • Engagement and Communication: Maintain engagement with the college community through regular updates and feedback opportunities.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit QEP report to Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
