Renee Jefferson Patterson is a visionary entrepreneur, esteemed community leader, and distinguished advocate for transformative design and social impact. Born and raised in the historic Acres Homes community before moving to Northeast Houston, Renee’s unwavering commitment to service was deeply influenced by her grandparents and aunt, who instilled in her the principles of hard work, leadership, and civic responsibility. Through her grandmother’s tenure at Kinkaid Private School, she was immersed in philanthropy at an early age, regularly feeding the homeless and visiting nursing homes experiences that shaped her lifelong dedication to serving others.
Renee’s career began with over 15 years of executive experience in Human Resources within the Oil and Gas industry, including her tenure at ExxonMobil through Oce Business Services. Transitioning her expertise into entrepreneurship, she founded SaraDonna Designs, a premier design firm specializing in luxury residential, commercial, and construction design, where she has garnered acclaim for her innovation, precision, and ability to bring visionary spaces to life.
A former candidate for Houston City Council, Renee has been a powerful advocate for community revitalization and economic development. She has spearheaded community clean-up initiatives, combated illegal dumping, and worked with developers to create sustainable and affordable housing solutions. Additionally, she has played a pivotal role in expanding job opportunities in underserved communities and has worked diligently with senior citizens to protect their homes from reverse mortgages and property tax delinquency.
Her extraordinary dedication to public service has earned her numerous congressional honors, and in recognition of her enduring contributions, the Mayor of Houston awarded her a personal day in her honor. She is also an esteemed member of Top Ladies of Distinction, a national organization committed to empowering communities through service and leadership.
Renee is a staunch advocate for higher education and lifelong learning. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Phoenix, is a proud product of Houston Community College, and is currently pursuing her MBA at Louisiana State University, further expanding her expertise in business and leadership.
Above all, Renee is a devoted wife and mother, cherishing a blended family of five children: Zoe, Walter, Jasmine, Kyre, and Taylor. Whether through her work in design, advocacy, or mentorship, she remains steadfast in her mission to uplift communities, drive economic empowerment, and create a lasting legacy of excellence in Houston and beyond.
