HCC Career & Transfer Services hosts inaugural UH Preview Day

HCC Career & Transfer Services recently proudly hosted its inaugural UH Preview Day in collaboration with the University of Houston’s Bauer College of Business at the West Loop Campus.

This exciting event provided an invaluable opportunity for students to engage directly with representatives from UH-Bauer College Business, allowing students to explore various academic programs, network with faculty and gain insights into the dynamic world of business education.

The collaboration between Houston Community College and the University of Houston is remarkable, showcasing a commitment to fostering educational partnerships that benefit students across the Houston region. HCC is enthusiastic about the prospect of hosting many more Preview Days in the future, partnering with universities throughout the state to expand access to higher education and enrich the academic experiences of its students. This event marks the beginning of a promising initiative to connect students with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed in their educational journeys. Dr. Bao Tran, Manager of Transfer Services, noted that “the event would not have been successful without the support of the transfer team and the collaboration with the UH-Bauer College of Business team."  

HCC Career and Transfer Services is excited to announce an upcoming preview day for students interested in transferring to Lamar University. Join us on Monday, Nov. 4, at the Southeast College Eastside Learning Hub in Room 108, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event will provide an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn more about the programs and opportunities Lamar University offers. In addition to engaging presentations and information sessions, students can interact with faculty and staff.

According to James Mable, Interim Director of Alumni Affairs, Career and Transfer Services, “our goal is to ensure students have access to resources that lead to academic and career success after HCC; we intend to continue partnering with employers and universities to this end.”
