Dec 5, 2024
Houston Community College Fashion Design students are known for their stunning designs, creative expressions, and eye-catching innovations in fashion sustainability. This Friday, Dec. 6, they will be hosting their annual Transcending Noir Fashion Show. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
The show will be held at the W.W. Harmon Building and will feature nearly 70 current and former students, as well as faculty designers, who will showcase their fashion masterpieces. The event is dedicated to raising money for the HCC Foundation. The proceeds from the fashion show will go to scholarships to assist students to complete their education journey at HCC.
“Our fashion students have invested many hours to create the styles to transcend their attitudes and self-expression,” said Cheryl Whitaker, Fashion Merchandising Program coordinator, HCC Consumer Arts and Sciences Center of Excellence. “I am excited for the community to witness their talents, creativity, and perseverance on the runway.”
The fashion show will be judged by eminent luminaries. They include Andrea Bonner, Alexander Chapman, Vi Hua and Gilbert Muniz.
