Hispanic Heritage Month

National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated annually in the United States from September 15 to October 15. The celebration recognizes the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States. Houston Community College wishes faculty, staff, and students a festive and impactful Hispanic Heritage Month!

  About:  Join the Office of Student Life as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Music, Food and Games.
  
  
• Hispanic Heritage Month Salsa Dancing
  Date:  Tuesday, September 19, 2023, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  Location: Northline Campus, Room 103, 8001 Fulton Street, Houston, TX 77022
  About:  HCC students will have the opportunity to learn the Latin dance style "Salsa" in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
  
  
• Hispanic Heritage Month: Cultura de Maiz
  Date:  Tuesday, September 19, 2023, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  Location:  HCC Eastside Campus, Student Life Building - Foyer, 6815 Rustic Street, Houston, TX 77087
  About:  The students will participate in a presentation about Maiz. Following the presentation, the students will participate in making Corn Tortillas. "Amazar la masa."
