HCC Men of Honor student members attend Black, Brown & College Bound Summit 2016

Houston Community College was well represented at the recent Black, Brown & College Bound Summit 2016 in Tampa, FL.

Members of the HCC Men of Honor student organization — Robert Ridley, Allen Sams, Larry Bradford, Davionte Fowler, Hector Hernandez and Roland Barrett — attended the 10th anniversary event.

The purpose of the event is to address the national problem of a lack of student success in the areas of persistence, retention, and graduation for all students and in particular African American and Latino males.

General Colin Powell, Jose Antonio Vargas, Hill Harper, Ed "Too Tall Jones and Derrick Brooks were the featured speakers.
