M.E.N. Annual Conference a Success!

On Wednesday, October 12, 2016 the Men of Honor hosted the M.E.N. Male Empowerment Networking Annual Conference at HCC West Loop Campus. The primary goal of the conference was to bring together a diverse group of leaders and professionals in an open dialogue to discuss issues facing our youth and to develop possible strategies on how young men of color can become more engaged in educational initiatives taking place in their lives.


The diverse and energetic group of panelists included: John F. Boxie, HCC Lieutenant; Carlos Calzada, M.E.; Daryl K. Daniel, M.D.; Carl A. Moore, Esq.; Oscar Perez, Jr., D.P.T.; and film producer Ty Walker, along with special guest, rapper Lil Keke.

Each panelist provided personal insight as well as actionable and practical tools for the middle, high school and college students in attendance to begin employing in their daily lives.
