HCC Corporate College recently completed another round of training for Corporate Client, Veristic Technologies, Inc. Over the years Veristic has come to HCC to develop their Engineers and technicians in technical areas like CNC machining and welding.

HCC is introducing a visionary project that will lead the way drilling crews are recruited, trained and developed. HCC educators have been working with drilling contractor representatives on an advisory committee to create a vision and set the guidelines of how to achieve a better solution for the big crew change: trained, technically educated, safety skilled and promotable new hires!

HCC Corporate College is teaming up with Ben E. Keith Foods, the eighth largest institutional foodservice distributor in the nation, to train close 100 distribution workers to work at the food giant’s recently built 475,000-square-foot distribution center in Missouri City, TX. The training was made possible by a $69,000 Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) grant to fund logistics training to develop a skilled workforce to meet the specific needs of Ben E. Keith Foods.

To meet the changing needs of the dental industry, Houston Community College’s Coleman College for Health Sciences and Corporate College department are pleased to announce the availability of Dental Assistant Advanced Certification Training. This new training addresses recent changes to the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners that now allows dental assistants to perform both Coronal Polishing and Pit and Fissure Sealant procedures.

Dozens of HISD’s plant operators have been working hard this year to improve their skill sets in order to better serve their campuses, and many of them gathered at the district’s Construction and Facilities Services headquarters on Aug. 9 to celebrate their accomplishments.
