Weekend College
The Weekend College at HCC: Saturdays Only
Earn Your Degree on Saturdays
The Weekend College at Houston Community College is designed for working adults who want to earn an associate's degree or certificate in two years or less, while only attending classes on Saturdays. Whether you need a degree for career advancement or to transfer to a four-year university, don't just take individual classes - complete a full program and earn a credential.
Classes are offered in 8-week sessions in a hybrid format. By taking two classes at a time, you can focus deeply on each subject. You'll study with a cohort of fellow adult students, meeting face-to-face with your professor each Saturday while completing some work online each week. As a full-time student taking four classes per semester (two classes each session), you'll be eligible for financial aid. A few courses may also be available fully online.
We've mapped out your entire schedule so there are no surprises. From day one, you'll see the step-by-step pathway and course schedule for the next two years. We guarantee that all required classes will be offered as planned.
In addition to flexible Saturday classes, we provide support through your entire college journey with admissions, registration, academic advising, and assistance applying for financial aid. Free tutoring is also available on campus or online.
Our mission is your success. Earn your degree while keeping your career - enroll in the Weekend College today.

Costs and Financial Aid
HCC is one of the most affordable colleges in the region with student tuition determined by residency. Students are coded one of the following: in-district (in the taxing district of HCC), out-of-district, or out-of-state/international.
For students taking 12 credit hours a semester, the cost for tuition is roughly the following:
In-district |
$1020.00 |
Out-of-district |
$2172.00 |
Out-of-state |
$2730.00 |
These rates are found on the Tuition Calculator.
Also, since 12 credit hours is the threshold for being considered a full-time student, students fully enrolled in The Weekend College are eligible for financial aid through Pell Grants, Texas Grants, or one of the many scholarships available through the HCC Foundation (www.hccsfoundation.org )
Military and Veterans
VA Benefits are available for The Weekend College.
