Balancing personal challenges, work, and full-time studies, she has remained positive, kind, and consistently supportive of her peers. Cindy is not only an outstanding student but also one of the most skilled phlebotomists in Houston. Her clinical excellence and professionalism left such a strong impression that her clinical site is creating a position just for her. Why did you enroll at HCC Coleman College?
HCC Coleman College offers excellent healthcare programs with specialized training in a variety of fields that provide different job opportunities. I wanted to be part of this college.
Why did you choose your program of study?
I was always curious about the human body, its biology, and its chemistry. I think the Med Lab program combines those fields, focusing on patient care, and this is why I love this program.
What do you like best about your college experience?
I have enjoyed the interaction with my professors. They have always been very supportive.
What do you like best about your program of study?
The best part is the clinical rotations. I have been able to gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art methods and laboratory instrumentation. I have learned from experienced professionals.
When you are tired, what motivates you to push forward?
I remember what my goals are, and I visualize them coming true. This pushes me forward.
What advice can you offer to help other students succeed?
Learn how to organize your time and priorities. This will ease your college experience and help you perform better in your classes.
Any final thoughts?
My experience in the Med Lab program has taught me many lessons not just in the profession but the in life. I'm excited for the future!
